2" Surge Block, Sch40<br>(Use w/ 1" Pipe)

This open core PVC Surge Block is designed to be used in well rehabilitation and well development. With the flush thread on one side and NPT on the other, this tool can be flipped either direction to connect to your pipe of choice. Constructed of PVC and HDPE, these Surge Blocks are designed to fit the I.D. of Schedule 40 PVC pipe.

Uses:

Surging and Rehab:
This Surge Block can be used in well rehabilitation and cleaning. By capping the end of the PVC pipe connected to the Surge Block, you can plunge the well and force the well water and cleaner into the surrounding formation. In addition, the rigid HDPE flanges help remove any additional scaling on the inside of the casing and screen. After surging, wait the recommended time for well treatment and discharge the well water.

Developing:
The Surge block can assist in developing a well. By connecting a ball valve or check valve above the surge block, you can develop the well through repeated up and down motion of the connected pipe.
