FEP Teflon is the preferred choice for soil vapor gas intrusion sampling. Teflon's high-temperature threshold and resistance to chemicals and other VOCs mean that it does not affect the test sample. Unlike PTFE Teflon, FEP does not contain PFAS or PFOA, making it acceptable to be used on sites with PFAS contamination. FEP Teflon is approved by the DTSC for all soil gas sampling. Other common uses include but are not limited to; riser, lift, or lead tubing for groundwater pumps, well developers, and foot valves where high temperatures or harsh VOCs are occurring.
