FEP Teflon is the preferred choice for soil vapor gas intrusion sampling. Teflon's high-temperature threshold and resistance to chemicals and other VOCs mean it does not affect the test sample. Unlike PTFE Teflon, FEP does not contain PFAS or PFOA, making it acceptable to be used on sites with PFAS contamination. The DTSC approves FEP Teflon for all soil gas sampling. Other common uses include but are not limited to; riser, lift or lead tubing for groundwater pumps, well developers, and foot valves where high temperatures or harsh VOCs are occurring.
